For more than 65 years, the Florida Surplus Lines Association (FSLA) has worked to ensure that Florida’s surplus lines marketplace remains an effective safety valve for distressed risks and a strong solution for emerging and niche risks.
FSLA advances this mission by advocating for regulatory consistency, protecting the freedom of rate and form, and working to remove barriers that can prevent consumers from accessing affordable, quality insurance products.

Supporting Our Industry at the Capitol
FSLA’s Political Action Committee, SurPAC, supports political committees and candidates for the Florida Senate and House of Representatives who understand and support issues important to Florida’s surplus lines industry.
A strong SURPAC gives FSLA a stronger voice in Tallahassee. Through our advocacy efforts, we educate lawmakers, build relationships with legislative leaders, and help ensure the surplus lines industry has a seat at the table when issues affecting our marketplace are considered.
